#channel EXAMPLE INPUTS
ASKrememe: explain this simply

Conversation, context & research

COMMAND.banana a tiny brass robot

A specific tool, with a clear request

SHAREhttps://example.com/article

Automatic previews & link history

Short replies. Rich results. One channel.

THE QUICK START

Three ways in. One simple rule.

Use commands exactly as shown. Not every command starts with a dot.

01

Address the bot

rememe: your question

For chat, research and natural-language requests. Use the actual bot nick.

02

Choose a command

scores mlb or .image URL

Keep the dot where shown; don’t add one to every example.

03

Share a link

https://…

Previews usually happen automatically. NOBOT after a link skips scoring—not necessarily its preview.

THE CAPABILITY MAP

What do you want to do?

01 / Ask a question

Talk & research

Address rememe for conversation. Use an explicit command when you want a specific tool.

Explain, compare, brainstorm, write, or follow up on the conversation.

rememe: explain what a reverse proxy does
rememe: make up an acronym for my nick
  • Use the bot’s actual nick. Normal chat runs in joined public channels, not private messages. Ambient chatter does not trigger ordinary LLM replies.
  • Context and memory can be incomplete. Name the subject or paste the relevant URL when a follow-up is ambiguous.

Ask for a web-backed verification rather than treating a claim as fact.

.verify the Great Wall is visible from the Moon
  • Verification is a research answer, not a guarantee that every source is correct.

Set or clear a personal style for conversational replies.

rememe: reply to me like a terse sysadmin
rememe: reset my reply style
  • Does not change the channel’s style or the output of deterministic commands.

02 / Search the logs

Channel memories

Specify a channel, person, topic, and time range. Answers should be grounded in dated messages—not guesses.

Find early or recent mentions and summarize the actual discussion with participants.

rememe: what are some early channel mentions of H200?
rememe: summarize #elitistjerks first mentions of bitcoin, including "bit coin" or btc
rememe: show latest mentions of H200 by jaxdahl since 2024
  • Use first/earliest/oldest or latest/recent. Explicit spelling alternatives are OR matches. since, after, and before accept a year, YYYY-MM, or YYYY-MM-DD. IRC lists are bounded.

Look up a nick’s first appearance, related identities, and later activity.

rememe: when did goob first appear?
rememe: first scene for fetchi, include nearby rows
rememe: show aliases for gary|tp
rememe: when was gary|tp last active in #elitistjerks?
  • An ambiguous name may need clarification. Last logged activity does not explain someone’s offline life or why they left.

Find dated self-statements, or compare sampled channel conversations.

rememe: based on #elitistjerks logs, what's my age?
rememe: estimate #elitistjerks ages for jabowah, jaxdahl, Regen
rememe: based on #elitistjerks logs who is the most doomposter?
rememe: according to #elitistjerks logs, how rich is slackie?
  • Age may be an interval; location means historical city/region, not a current precise address. Wealth claims are attributed archive statements, not verified net worth. Comparisons are sampled opinions, not objective personality scores.

Compare adjusted-close changes after tickers’ first recorded explicit quote requests.

rememe: research mentions of stock quotes in #elitistjerks and summarize which have gone up most in value
  • Not every casual stock mention or an actual portfolio. Starting dates differ. Unsupported tickers and bounded scans are disclosed; this report can use two short IRC lines.

Ask how far the archive goes or what was being discussed in a period.

rememe: how far back do the logs go?
rememe: what was happening in the logs in 2014?
  • A failed search is not proof something was never said. The manual Archive Explorer is administrator-only, not a public log browser.

03 / Remember it later

Reminders & timers

One-time reminders, editable by ID. Wait for a confirmation before assuming a change was saved.

Use a duration or an explicit date and timezone. Reminders are delivered in channel.

rememe: remind me in 20m to check the oven
rememe: remind me tomorrow at 9am ET to check the calendar
rememe: remind goob in 10m to check the link
rememe: remind this channel in 1h to take a break
  • Include ET, PT, UTC, or another supported timezone to remove ambiguity. Recurring reminders and another person’s implicit local timezone are not supported.

Use the six-character ID returned by the bot; abc123 below is an example only.

rememe: reminders
rememe: reminder abc123
rememe: move reminder abc123 by +1h
rememe: move reminder abc123 to October 3, 2026 at 11:20 AM MDT
rememe: cancel reminder abc123
  • Manage reminders in their channel, as the creator or named recipient. Moving an existing reminder does not create a second one. Replace the example date with a future date.

Leave a message for a nick when they next join or speak.

rememe: next time you see goob rejoin or speak tell them check the new guide
  • The bot must observe the event. This is not private-message delivery.

04 / Make something

Create & edit images

Put flags before the prompt. These are the bot’s configured models and supported settings—not a promise of provider availability.

One pattern, model-specific choices

.command+--options+your prompt

All active still-image generators accept --input IMAGE_URL and --aspect RATIO. With an input image, the nearest supported source ratio is used unless you set an aspect explicitly. Size, quality and tier are separate controls.

Aspect ratios & shared limits
.banana · .bananapro · .seedream

1:1 2:3 3:2 3:4 4:3 4:5 5:4 9:16 16:9 21:9

.gptimage · .gptmini · .flux2

1:1 2:3 3:2 3:4 4:3 9:16 16:9 21:9

.grokimg

1:1 2:3 3:2 3:4 4:3 9:16 16:9

Source images: up to 8 MiB. Generated stills: up to 16 MiB. Unknown flags and unsupported sampling controls are rejected; use -- before literal prompt text beginning with --. There is no universal seed/steps/sampler option.

New outputs and available generation metadata appear in the public gallery. Do not submit sensitive material. A timeout is not permission to retry without considering another charge.

Gemini 3.1 Flash Image. Default 1K, square; supports 1K, 2K, 4K.

.banana a tiny brass robot repairing an IRC server
.banana --size 2K --aspect 16:9 a moonlit observatory

Nano Banana Pro edit at 2K, using the closest supported source aspect ratio.

.edit https://example.com/photo.jpg change the jacket to red
.bananapro --input https://example.com/photo.jpg --size 4K restore this photograph
  • Replace example.com with a reachable image URL. .edit can use up to three additional image URLs as references. Use --input on a generator to control its size/aspect explicitly.

05 / Put it in motion

Generate video

All five active commands default to 16:9 and accept --input IMAGE_URL, --duration whole-seconds, --resolution, and --aspect.

Default 8s at 720p. Duration 1–15s; 480p, 720p, or 1080p.

.grokvid --duration 8 --aspect 16:9 clouds swirling around a mountain

.wan --duration 3 --resolution 1080p a paper boat floating downstream
  • Ratios: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4.

06 / Work with media

Read, see & speak

Describe an existing image, read a PDF, or turn text into speech. These commands do not all create images.

Describe an image or ask a specific visual question.

.image https://example.com/sign.png what text is visible?
rememe: how many red cars are in https://example.com/photo.jpg?
  • .image is identification, not generation. Multiple image URLs can be compared. Supply a URL for reliable context; do not rely on an unrelated earlier image.

Summarize a linked PDF or ask a question about it.

.pdf https://example.com/report.pdf summarize the conclusions
  • Use a public URL ending in .pdf (a query string is fine). A private login-only document cannot be fetched.

Synthesize the supplied text. Default: Grok Voice TTS, voice eve, MP3.

.tts Hello, channel.
.tts --model kokoro --voice af_heart Welcome aboard.
.tts --model gemini --voice Puck --format mp3 The kettle is ready.
  • Options: --model, --voice, --format mp3 or pcm. Voice names depend on the model; put --model before --voice.

Have the bot compose spoken text from your request, then synthesize it.

.ttsai write a short dramatic announcement that dinner is ready
  • Unlike .tts, this can change the words and select delivery settings.

Commands: .trump, .biden, .obama, .jfk, .reagan, .nixon and .welles. Read supplied text with a local voice clone; return a labeled MP3 on rememe.org.

.trump Welcome to the channel.
.biden The kettle is ready.
.obama --sensual hello my special friend
.jfk --calm Welcome aboard.
.reagan --slow The kettle is ready.
.nixon --energetic Hello, channel.
.welles --speed 0.9 The evening has begun.
  • AI impersonations, not authentic recordings. Text is spoken as supplied, without an LLM rewrite; up to 600 characters. The text and audio are public in the gallery.
  • Delivery presets: --neutral, --sensual (slower, softer, warmer), --calm, --energetic, --slow, --fast; or --style <preset>. --speed 0.75–1.35 overrides preset tempo without changing pitch. Put options before text; -- ends option parsing. These are tempo/EQ/volume effects, not native model emotion control or a guarantee of acting performance. Use .obama --help for syntax.
  • Requires the local Mac to be awake and online. One generation at a time, one pending job per user, four total. The model loads on demand and releases memory after each job; allow several minutes. No third-party TTS API charge (local compute still uses energy).

List configured choices without submitting a speech generation.

.tts models
.tts voices grok
.tts voices gemini
  • Model keys: grok, gemini, kokoro, orpheus, sesame, voxtral. Zonos currently has no serving endpoints and is not offered. The bot’s list is the current voice reference.

07 / Outside, right now

Weather & local time

Use a city, postal code, or coordinates. A weather lookup can save your location/timezone for later requests.

Current temperature, conditions, and the forecast for a place.

weather Pittsburgh
wx 15217
forecast Toronto
weather
  • With no location, the bot tries saved context. wx, fcst, and conditions are aliases. Forecast details depend on the source.

Look up AQI, explain a numeric AQI, or check available flood alerts.

aqi Seattle
aqi 150
floods Harrisburg PA
  • Flood coverage depends on NWS availability. These are informational feeds, not an emergency-warning service.

Ask for your known timezone or another nick’s saved timezone.

.tz
.timezone
rememe: what's goob's timezone?
  • This reports saved context, not a person’s verified current whereabouts.

08 / Follow the action

Sports & Formula 1

Scoreboards and schedules come from ESPN; F1 has dedicated results, championship and session-data commands.

Choose a league and optionally a day, or ask for upcoming fixtures.

scores mlb yesterday
scores nba
scores soccer epl
scores world cup
schedule nba
  • Common leagues include NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, EPL and college sports. Other ESPN leagues use scores <sport> <league-slug>. Dates may be today, yesterday, tomorrow or an explicit supported date.

Ask about a team’s current result, next game, or recent games.

rememe: how are the Mets doing?
rememe: when do the Lakers play next?
rememe: how have the Lakers done in their last 5 games?
  • Address the bot for natural-language team questions; a vague team name may need clarification.

See the latest result or upcoming sessions.

  • Standings are separate from the finishing order in the latest race.

Driver info, car telemetry, conditions, pit stops, and race-control messages.

f1 drivers Norris
f1 car Verstappen
f1 weather
f1 pits
f1 racecontrol
f1 help
  • Session data is only as current and complete as the feed; live data may be unavailable.

09 / Look up a quote

Markets & prices

Market snapshots, not a brokerage or investment adviser. Quotes may be delayed.

Look up one symbol or compare several.

quote CF
quote BTC-USD
stocks AAPL MSFT SPY
$NVDA $AMD
quote ^GSPC
  • Use the provider’s exact symbol. Prices and available quote fields vary by market.

Get supported spot-metal quotes.

quote gold silver
  • Read the quoted unit and currency; spot quotes are not retail buy/sell offers.

10 / Before you log in

World of Warcraft

Current-source lookups for activities, services and progression. Patch transitions can leave feeds incomplete.

Check token prices, realm status and service notices.

wowtoken
wowrealm area-52
wow maintenance
  • Battle.net-backed lookups require the deployment’s API credentials. These service commands use the configured US sources.

Today’s overview, quests, bountiful delves, preys, events and resets.

.wowtoday
.wq steelbark
.delves
.preys
.wowevents
.wowreset
wow today eu
  • Defaults to NA; append eu for Europe (na/us also work). .wq searches currently active quests and current rewards, not historical sightings. .wowtoday prioritizes Midnight. Missing upstream activities are reported, not guessed.

Find active sources for mounts, pets, toys, transmog or achievements.

.wowavailable mounts
wow available pets eu
  • These are feed-reported source windows, not guaranteed drops or your character’s eligibility. Requirements, currencies, prerequisites and RNG may apply. Older-expansion sources remain valid. No collectible watchlist alerts.

Check the current season’s Mythic+ estimates or configured raid-race progression.

mplus
rwf
.race
  • M+ automatically selects the active main season from Raider.IO; stale cutoffs are rejected. Estimates do not guarantee Blizzard rewards. RWF raid scope is configured; .rfc is the unrelated internet-standard lookup.

11 / Look up, look around

Aircraft & airports

Public flight observations and airport feeds. Not complete surveillance, and never a flight-safety instrument.

Airport context, METAR/TAF information, and FAA delay notices.

airport JFK
metar KJFK
taf LAX
delays
delays EWR
  • metar and taf are aliases for the airport summary, not raw-bulletin-only commands.

Find a callsign, a registration, or observed traffic near an airport.

flight UAL1715
aircraft N123AB
flights near JFK
  • Use a callsign such as UAL1715 or a tail registration. Reception gaps and blocked aircraft can limit results.

Watch for landing or signal-loss changes, then stop tracking when done.

track flight UAL1715
tracked flights
untrack UAL1715
  • This produces follow-up channel notices; it does not guarantee continuous position updates.

Compare observed business, military or untracked-aircraft activity with the dashboard baseline.

.ews
.ews military
.ews business
.ews untracked
  • A statistical activity signal is not proof of an emergency or intent.

12 / Check a public feed

Earth, space & security

Compact reports from public scientific, incident and standards sources.

USGS events filtered by minimum magnitude and time window.

.quake
.quake 6 week
.quake 4.5 hour
  • Default: magnitude 4.5+, past day. Windows: hour, day, week.

NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day or the Sentry risk-list lookup.

apod
asteroid
near-earth objects
  • The asteroid command is a risk-list summary, not a catalogue of tonight’s visible objects.

CAL FIRE incident summaries, latest/largest incidents or a name search.

cafire
cafire latest
cafire largest
cafire Palisades
  • California source coverage only. Follow official local instructions during an emergency.

Look up CVEs, recent severity-filtered results, known exploitation, CPEs or CWEs.

cve CVE-2024-3094
cve latest critical
cve latest kev
cve high openssl
cve cwe CWE-79
cve cpe cpe:2.3:a:vendor:product:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*
  • Replace the example CPE with an actual product identifier. KEV means known exploited vulnerabilities. Feed absence does not establish that software is safe.

Retrieve an RFC’s title and publication/status details.

.rfc 1459
.rfc RFC9110
rememe: rfc 8446
  • An RFC may be informational, historic, experimental, or superseded; not every RFC is an active standard.

14 / Know the edges

Help, usage & boundaries

Small utilities and important operational limits—without exposing administrator controls.

One short IRC reply, with a link to the complete guide.

.help
rememe: help
rememe: commands

Summarize recorded OpenRouter calls, tokens and media for a period.

.usage today
.usage week
.usage month
  • Costs are tracked privately; the channel command is not a full bill or per-person spending report. Calls from other backends are not all represented.

Generate a code from a Base32 shared secret. Avoid sharing real account secrets with a bot.

  • Syntax in a private message: totp <base32-secret>. .totp is an alias. The bot does not store the secret, but sending it still discloses it to the bot and potentially IRC infrastructure. Never post it in channel.

CTCP VERSION, PING, TIME, CLIENTINFO, SOURCE and USERINFO are supported.

  • Private messages otherwise do not offer normal chat; the exceptions are TOTP and supported CTCP/DCC handling. Do not use a private .help request and expect a channel-style reply.

Due/seen reminders, tracked-flight events, and configured feed watches can post without a new command.

  • Maintenance currently polls large earthquakes, changes in the top asteroid-risk entry, and WoW maintenance notices. Feed interruptions can delay or prevent notices. These are not guaranteed alert services.
  • There are no public commands here to deploy/restart the bot or open the private archive/admin interfaces.

Not everything mentioned in older channel messages is an active command.

  • .sora2 is intentionally disabled after its retirement date. Use one of the five active video commands.
  • .cursedimg is not in the current command parser. Recurring reminders and collectible watchlists are not enabled.
  • If a generation is slow, wait for its result or failure. Resubmitting can create a second paid job.

Back to the channel.

Start with .help whenever you need your way back.
